Election of Assistant Treasurer Secretary & Superintendent
Treasurer, seven, all of which were for John L. Dill;
for an Assistant Treasurer, seven, all of which were for
Henry B. Mackintosh; for a Secretary, seven, all of which
were for Lewis G. Farmer; and for a Superintendent,
seven, all of which were for James C. Scorgie; and they
were severally declared elected.
Salaries fixed
Voted. That the salary of the Treasurer be fixed at
Eighteen Hundred dollars for the ensuing year, and that
he be required to furnish a bond in the sum of Twenty
Thousand dollars, at the expense of the Corporation, for
the faithful discharge of his duties; that of the As-
sistant Treasurer at Two Thousand dollars; that of
the Secretary at Eight Hundred dollars, and that he be
allowed the use of the office without payment of
rent therefor; and that of the Superintendent at Three
Thousand dollars and that the last-named shall have
the use of a House and the grounds there to belonging,
the use of a Horse and Vehicle and the services of
one Man, at the expense of the Corporation.
Voted That Mr. Albert C. Dean be employed as a
Clerk, at a salary of Fifteen Hundred dollars.
