To make Buns
Take two quarts if Flower [sic] well dried, half a Pd
of Lump Sugar powder'd, a few carraway seeds
beat 3 Eggs in two Tablespoonsful of Yeast take
half a Pd of Butter melt it on the Fire in a pint
of Milk, add to it your yeast & Eggs mix all together
with your flour & sugar set it by the fire
two or three hours to rise - bake them on tins

Faggot Cakes
Take a quarter of a Pd of Jordan Almonds
blanch'd & cut lengthways as thin as possible
a quarter of a Pd of fine sugar beaten & sifted -
one white of an egg beat to froth - mix all lightly
together & drop them in little heaps on white
paper - a little butter so as to slip off when
baked which should be done in a cool oven
for a quarter of an Hour

To make Ginger Cakes
Take 5 Eggs leaving one white out 3/4 lb of
lump-sugar sifted - beat them for half an Hour
then put in a pound of Flour - don't beat then
after the Flour is put in - add Ginger or seeds
put them roughly on Tins - Bake them in
a slow oven - about half an ounce of Ginger
to the above quantity will be sufficient
