On the 11th August the secretary was in-
structed to notify the distant members of the Board
the appointed times of the meeting of the Trustees,
and more especially of the meeting to be held on
the 1st Wednesday of October following, which, coin-
ciding with the time of the meeting of the Commission
of Synod in Kingston, they suggested as a conveni-
ent opportunity for holding a full meeting of the
Board to take into consideration matters of special
importance to the well being of the Institution,
among other matters the propriety of increasing
the Staff of Professors with all convenient speed.
