On the 21st August tenders were submitted for the erection
of the new building, when the tenders of Robert Irving for the Carpen-
ter Work ($680) and of Richard Tossell for the Mason Work ($646),
being the lowest, were accepted.

Mention has already been made, in the events of the pre-
ceding year, of the foundation of the first endowed Scholarship by
the Ladies of St. Andrews Church, Toronto, This year two others
were founded, one by the Prince of Wales of $ 800 after his visit,
and one of $ 1113 by the Ladies of St Andrew's Church, Kingston, in
addition to that by Mr. John Mowat's will in 1860.

A valuable collection of Canadian Minerals and Fossils,
for the Museum, from Sir William Logon, and a collection of
Silver and Copper coins from Allan McPherson Esq, were also
recieved, and gratefully acknowledged.

On Thursday, 25th April, after oral and written
examinations, the Senates conferred the Degree of M. A. on -
Archibald Currie, B. A. Scotland
Edmund Hooper, B. A. Clark's Mills, C. W.
John May, B. A. Kingston, with honors
Herbert Stone MacDonald, B. A. Gananoque C. W.
