The proceedings and resolutions of the Board of Trustees with
reference to this whole matter, together with the Articles of Affiliation, are
embodied in the following Extract from their Minutes, of date 29th August 1866:
"The Report of the Committee appointed to confer with the pro-
visionally organized College of Physicians and Surgeons, Kingston, on
the terms of affiliation with the University, as submitted at the last meeting
of the Board, was again read; also the Extract minute of the proceedings of
the said College proposing conditions of affiliation; a draft of Bylaws on
the subject of graduation in Medicine prepared with the view of being adopted
by the Senate of this University and reported by the Principal to have received
the approval of as many of the members of Senate, being a majority of their
number exclusive of the gentlemen belonging to the Medical Faculty, as
he had been able to submit them to, the letter of Dr. Litchfield of date 2d
June 1866 containing the resignation of his position as Professor of Forensic
and State Medicine; and the letter of Professor Bell of date 26th April
1866 relating to his position in view of the probable establishment of
a College in room of the existing Medical Faculty. The following
documents were also read "An Act to incorporate the Royal College
of Physicians and Surgeons of Kingston;" A report supplementary
to the report already presented on the terms of Affiliation, contain-
ing proposals concurred in by the Royal College of Phy-
sicians and Surgeons; and a letter of date 16th August 1866
