During part of the Session twenty two ladies had
already been enrolled in a Class for the study of the English
Language, meeting three times a week, under the charge of
Professor Murray, with very satisfactory results.
In addition to donations to the Library, Museum,
and the Scholarship and Prize Funds, more particularly
stated in the record of similar donations, from year to year,
to be found on pages [blank space] of this volume, the very
welcome, and appropriate, gift of $500 was received by
the Treasurer from Mrs. Glass of Sarnia, for the purpose
of founding a Scholarship for a Student in Divinity, in
memory of the late Henry Glass Esq. her husband.
The Principal and Professor Mackerras during this
year visited 31 additional Congregations on behalf of the Endow-
ment Scheme, waiting on nearly all the families belonging to
them, and continued to meet with gratifying success.
