The death of the Revd Dr. Mathieson of Montreal, to
which reference has already been made in the record of events
during last year, was this year followed by that of another
highly esteemed member of the Board of Trustees, the Revd.
Hugh Urquhart D.D., Minister of St. John's Church, Cornwall.
The following resolution was unanimously passed by them
at their first meeting after Dr. Urquhart's death.

The Trustees of Queen's College take this opportunity
of recording their deep regret at his removal from the arena
of his earthly labours. He was a warm and devoted friend
of this Institution. For ten successive Sessions, from 1847
to 1857, he lectured in the College on Eccesiastical History.
He was elected a Trustee in 1845 and continued in
office until his death. The members of the Board
