for the investment from this source since last year was $14,189.90.

The following benefactions to the College during the year,
among many others, call for special notice. A bequest of $400
for the general purposes of the Insstitution was received from
the Executors of the late E.H. Hardy Esq. During his lifetime
he had shown his warm interest in the College by yearly gifts
of $50, on several occasions doubling that amount, for Scholarships,
and contributing $500 to the Endowment Fund. A memorial
Scholarship also of $50, bearing his name, was instituted
by Mrs Hardy.

The liberal and thoughtful contributions to revenue by
John Watkins Esq, Merchant, Kingston of $400 annually for
this, and the last two years, deservse to be very specially mentioned,
and evinced the same beneficent spirit shown by reported
donations to the College in former years.

The unknown friend in New Brunswick, already referred
to as having last year given $400 for the foundation of a
Scholarship, this year sent an additional sum of $200.

A donation to the Library of 153 Volumes, making
together with those presented by her in recent years, a Collection
of 292 Volumes containing many rare and valuable
