of fifty dollars each as a Scholarship to be competed for by
Students of the fourth year in Arts at a special examination in
writing on the historical portions of the Bible. "The Trustees,
in acknowledging receipt of the Communication from Mr. Russel
with the enclosed donation, recorded their sense of the great
importance of the object to which he desired his contribution to
be devoted, and their gratitude to him for his liberality.

It was also announced to the Board by the Revd Dr. Bain
of Perth, that Mrs McIntyre, lately deceased, the widow of a graduate
of Queens College had bequeathed the sum of $400 for the
purpose of founding a Bursary to be called "The McIntyre Bursary."
