The services of the Revd. Patrick Gray, one of the
first Alumni of the College, having been obtained for the
purpose of giving a course of Lectures in Divinity, he entered
upon his duties, but was soon afterwards, greatly to the
regret of the Trustees and Students, unable to continue them in
consequence of serious illness.

On 27th April 1876, Professor Williamson was unanimously
appointed Vice-Principal. At the same meeting in the
exercise of the powers conferred by the Act of the Legislature
passed in 1875, the Board of Trustees appointed the time for
electing members, in room of the Clerical and Lay Trustees retiring
annually, to be the last day of each College Session.

Two resolutions, regarding the functions of
the Finance and Estate Committee were also passed. Statute num-
