At a meeting of the Board of
Trustees in January the important question of the election
of a Chancellor was taken up and quickly adjusted.

Mr. James Maclennan QC. and Mr. Sandford
Fleming were both nominated, but on receipt of a telegram
from the former declining to be a candidate for the position
Mr. Fleming was declared elected unanimously, to the great
satisfication of all concerned. The formal re-installation
of the Chancellor took place at the annual convocation in
April, and at the Board meeting a motion was made by
Mr. John McIntyre thanking Mr. Sandford Fleming for
his generosity and unvarying kindness during the past
three years. This motion was carried unanimously.

The Hon. A. Morris was elected Chairman
of the Board of Trustees in the place of the
Hon. John Hamilton, and the following Trustees
were selected for four years. D.B. McLennan M.A. Q.C. , Rev.
R.J. Laidlaw, Sandford Fleming C.C. C.M.G,
N.J McGillivray, B.A. and Rev. Dr. Neill
