D.B. McLennan, seconded by Dr Boulter and resolved,
That the Chancellor, the Principal, Rev Dr Wardrope,
Rev DJ Macdonnell and the mover be a Committee to
digest the views of the Board as now expressed and report
at a subsequent meeting.

At the next meeting the
Committere appointed to frame a deliverance concerning
the views of the Board on the proposed Scheme of
College Confederation, reported as follows: The
Committee to whom has been referred the memoranda of
the Minister of Education embracing a scheme for the
Confederation of the Universities and Colleges of ONtario,
after earnest deliberation beg to report.

The memorandum is of a very important
character. The Committee regards it as the expression of
an earnest desire on the part of the Minister of Education
and the Government whom he represents to promote by a
comprehensive measure the Interests of Higher Education
throughout the Province. It is certainly an invitation
to Queen's University along with all the other seats of
learning in Ontario to participate in a public expenditure
on terms set forth in the scheme.

The Committee recognize the desire on the
part of the Minister and the Government, and are of
opnion that the Authorities of the University
should be grateful for the expression of this
