Chairman of the Board and Messrs Jas Maclennan, Q.C.
D.B. Maclennan, Q.C. and G.M. Macdonnell, Q.C.
be appointed a Committee to consider and report whether
the Board has power to accept such a Scheme of Confederation
as is proposed, or can do so only after consulting
the Corporators, and, if such consultation should
be found to be necessary, in what manner the opinion
of the Corporators shall be ascertained. Carried.

In accordance with the determination of the
Board of Trustees to learn the views of the Graduates and
Friends of Queen's on the matter of University Federation,
before giving their final answer to the Minister of Education,
the following circular was sent out early in April
asking for expressions of opinion on the subject.

Queen's University Kingston 2nd April 1885
Replies to the following questions are requested to be
forwarded without delay:

Questions
Are you in favour of Queen's entering the proposed
Confederation of Colleges, giving up the University powers
she enjoys by Royal Charter, and moving to Toronto?
As a large expenditure would be required to transfer the
University from Kingston, would you be ready to assist in
such a work?

Do you generally favour the views of the Board of
Trustees as expressed in the Report of 13th January
