[in]creasing the Endowment of the institution called "The
Queen's College Endowment Fund Association" of which
Mr Sanford Fleming, the Chancellor, was made President,
the object being to increase the efficiency of the University
by adding to the endowment, providing for the establishment
of new lectureships, scholarships, and chairs and
in other ways enlisting and securing public sympathy
and support. A committee was appointed to carry out
these resolutions. At the meeting of the Board of
Trustees on the following day this resolution was
passed. Moved by Mr M.C. Caldwell, M.P.P.
seconded by Mr Maclennan, Q.C. and resolved, "That
the Trustees are greatly encouraged in the efforts to promote
the advancement and progress of Queen's College
by the action of the University Council in forming a
Queen's University Endowment Association, and while
cordially approving of the action taken by the Council,
commend the object to the support and sympathy of
the friends of the University."

The thanks of the Board were tendered to
the Chancelllor for his able services in connection with the
object of University Confederation.

The applicaiton of Trinity Medical
School for Affiliation was again brought before the
Board, and considered, but it was for the
present decided that while the Board was
