barely sufficient for the support of the Chair of Apologetics
and New Testament Exigesis established since then.

The Assemby was reminded that by far the greater
part of what had been contributed to Queen's had been
for special purpose such as the Endownment of the Arts
Faculty, building etc and an earnest appeal was made
in the hope that the liberality of congregations might be
stimulated to consider the claims of Queen's.

Large additions were this year made
to the Museum and Library and steps were taken towards
increasing the accomodation of the latter, by the
introduction of additional iron shelving, which it was
calculated would give room for at least 5000 additional
volumes. The building of the Carruthers Science
Hall continued during this winter without interruption
and it ws expected that it would be opened on Oct. 16th
at the autumn Convocation. The building was carried
on under the superision of Professor Dupuis and Dr.
Goodwin, every arrangement of the class rooms being most
carefully considered and planned by Professor Dupuis, down
to the most trifling details.

The Doomsday Book was
by this time fairly under way, and the Chancellor reported
in his speech ast Convocation that the venerable
Dr Williamson had undertaken to write
the early history of the College, while to Mr
