Brockhaus in Leifrzic. The Principal announced
in his report the following generous donations in addition
to the contributions in the equipment of the Science
Hall.

1. A legacy of $20,000 from the late Mrs Charlotte
Nicholls of Peterboro to the endowment Fund: also
the sum of $2000 from the same source "For the
purpose of founding a scholarship to be called The
Nicholl Scholarship".

2. A special subscription of $500 from Hon Senator
Gowan LL.D. to be the nucleus of a Memorial Lectureship
on Political and Economic Science to bear the
name of the Right Hnourable Sir John A Macdonald,
one of the Founders of the University.

3. $1000 forwarded by the executors of the late Alexander
Morris, PC to be used to endow the "Hon William
Morris Bursary" in Theology.

4. A subscription of $2500 from Hugh Waddell, Esq.
S. Monghan for the "Robert Waddell Foundation"
in memory of his father. This fund was to go to the
endowment of a Tutorship in Physical Science.

Two subscriptions of $500 and one of $100 were
also sent towards the endowment of an additional
theological Chair, and many others for which the
objects were not specified.
