Williamson Scholarship should be given for the following
session as the Matriculation Scholarship in Greek
and Latin in place of the Mackerras Scholarship,
now held by one of Mr. Mackeras' sons, but on
further discussion it was decided not to take this step at
present, and the committee was requested to continue their
services for another year. The Chancellor however, made
a generous proposal to the Board at this time concerning
additional scholarships which he thought would
be of advantage to the University. He submitted a
proposal to found at an early date four scholarships,
probably one in each of the four faculties, Divinity,
Arts, Medicine and Science. He suggested that a
committee should be appointed to confer with him on
this matter. The Board accepted the Chancellor's proposal
with gratitude, and a committee, consisting of
the Principal Dr. Rogers, Mr. Macdonnell, and
Dr. Drummond was appointed to confer with the
Chancellor, and settle the details of his generous gift.

Appreciation having been made by the
School of Mining and Agriculture for affiliation
with Queen's University, the Board of Trustees passed
the following resolution at their annual meeting
which was afterwards submitted to the University
Council. That application having
