The number of students for this year was as follows

This was a quiet and uneventful
session. The work of collecting for the endowment
of the proposed additional Professorship in Theology
was carried on by the General Secretary, but not with
very encouraging success. As a substitute, the Board of
Trustees appointed two ministers to give courses of lectures
during the session, Rev Mr Scott of Hespeler, and Rev
Mr Laird of Campbellford, while Professors Macnaughton
and Glover delivered courses of lectures on Church
History. The need of additional accomodation in
the College was much felt, owing to the crowded
condition of the largest classrooms and of the Library,
and the necessity for more class rooms, on account of
the number of options and honour courses. It was
estimated that a building adequate to the needs of the
next ten to twenty years would cost about $70,000 for
erection and maintenance. It was impossible for
lack of funds to take any steps towards this
end at present, but the authorities felt
