Dear Madam Anneke

Your letter does my soul good---Lilie Peckham wrote me a letter saying
she did not authorize her name put to the Cleveland Call---we had it in type--when a Telegram came saying "don't publish it---" so we didn't---I see Mrs Livermore [Sp]
[expaciates lagres ?] on Cleveland prospects---She will be somewhat disappointed when she learns the facts of Boston [underlined in original]---they do not mean to
attach themselves to her or her paper---It has leaked [underlined in original]---they had so committed themselves to her, that they could not do otherwise
