made for a committee representing the Negro Historical and Industrial
Association to call upon the President for the purpose of extending his an
invitation to attend Exposition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the
Emancipation of the Negro and his Achievements, to be held in Richmond,
Va., in 1915.
