Status: Needs Review

Principal H. B. Frissell, Hampton Normal and
Agricultural Institute, states that Major Moton, the
School Commandant, has started what is known as the
Negro Oranization Society. On the 12th of this
month this Society is to hold a meeting in Norfolk
at which Major Moton will preside and Booker Wash-
ington will speak.

It is probable that a delegation from the
Board of Trade of Norfolk will wait upon the Presi-
dent on Thursday to see if he will speak at the
meeting. This Society has nothing to do with
politics or social equality or any like movement.

Principal Frissell trusts that if the delegation
comes to Washington the President will find it possi-
ble to give it an opportunity of presenting its plea
for help.
