We have met, we have organized, we have secured our Site for
the establishment of an Institution Named at present The Pee Dee
NORMAL INDUSTRIAL AND AGRICULTURAL INSTITUTE,
now we have Incorporated ourselves in the Sum of Two Thou-
sand dollars ($2000 00) to be increased devided into two hundred
Shares of $10.00 Each: therefore you see that the Institution will
be owned and controlled by the share holders.

Before we opened our books several shares were Subscribed for,
representing the following Counties viz: Dillon, Florence, Marion,
Orangeburg and Sumter. One man took Twenty shares, the o-
thers is now on Sale, every man can take and pay for at least one.

It is the greatest enterprize undertaken by our people in this
Section; but we will succeed. All of the best white people of our
town and community has endorsed our project and promised their
assistance, and God will help those who tries to help themselves.

We want all of our people to jon in with us.
