what Thos. T. said, & have not forgotten!! he
said so & so? Yes Sir, that is exactly what
I said. That is right, - upon this important branch
of your testimony, I desire there should be no
mistake. None I hope, said the Witness.
Well now, Sir (said B), if you did not hear
what Thos. T. said to the Judge, what did he
say? I don't think, I understand you (said
the witness). I am sorry that a Gentleman
of your clear & quick perception, should have
any difficulty in understanding me, If you
heard what I said

if you can't answer that branch, perhaps

what the Judge said to Thos. T., what did

It was by the Testimony of such perjured
witnesses, hired for the purpose, that the
removal of the Judge from office was sought
At the time Judge Brown's services were engaged
he was in feeble health; he either died
before the trial came one, or was unable to
attend. The others, with the exception of
Mr Laughlin, who foundered by the way, stood
up manfully in defense of their friend
