broke loose - that he went out to hitch him
that while out Caroline told her, that the trip
had been a very unpleasant one, that her husband
had been unkind & was ___ of her, & that
she would never leave her relations again
to go so far. I asked her, if she remembered
the Colour of the horse, that Thos. T. was riding
Oh Yes, It was a bay horse, that Colo. Anderson
had given to his daughter.
Mrs. Campbell was called as a witness for the
Prisoner - & being satisfied that every word, the
other female witness swore to, was false,
I asked Mrs. C., how long Caroline had lived with
her before she was married? Ans. Our mother
died when young & Caroline lived
with me, from the time, I went to House
keeping, ten or twelve years ago, until she
was married? Did you have her confidence?

woman, devoted to her husband most affectionately -
doated on him - loved him to distraction -
