For the advertisement in the "Presbyterian"
the Senate agreed that the following clause
should be inserted after the word "present.["]
The Faculty of Theology will open on Wednesday
5th November .~

Dr. Williamson was authorized
to purchase $29 worth of Books on
Astronomical subjects for the College
Library. Dr. Lawson was authorized to
purchase Murchison's Saluria for the College
Library.

The Senate had under Consideration the desirability
of the adoption by the Trustees of
By-laws for the internal management of
the affairs of the University and agreed to bring
the matter under their consideration.

constituted the meeting with
prayer.

A letter from Mr. Ireland Secretary to the
Board of Trustees was read, stating that
the Trustees had approved of the form of
Advertisement for the opening of the College
and referred to the Senate and Mr. Drummond
to arrange in what papers [it]
