Minute of last Meeting in regard to the
vacant Chair in Arts, and stated that
said Chair would shortly be filled and
that it would, therefore, be unnecessary
to make any temporary arrangements in
connection therewith. The Extract from
the Minutes of the Meeting of Trustees
stated that in future all Fees in the Arts
Department (including Matriculation and
Graduation Fees) would be paid to the Secretary
of the Board. The Secretary was instructed to
engross in the Senate's Minutes the Extract
referred to from the Minutes of the Board
of Trustees. The Secretary was further
instructed to acknowledge the Extract
from the Minutes of Trustees requiring all
Collection of Fees by the Trustees' Secretary
and to state that the instructions [?] be
complied with, it being understood that
the Matriculation Fees should as hitherto
be devoted by the Senate to the purchase of
books for the Library, that the Secretary's
salary hitherto paid by Graduation Fees
should be provided for, and that the Fees
of the Natural History [Museum] be retraid[?] to the
Professor.

The following is a copy of the Extract referred
to.

"Extract from proceedings at the
meeting of the Board of Trustees of
the University of Queen's College
Kingston held 30th Sepr. 1862.
Resolved. That all Fees paid by Arts Students
including Matriculation and Graduation
fees) be regularly handed to the Secretary
