[margin]April 4, 1864[/margin] The Senatus agreed that the University
Examination in Natural History 50
[margin]Marks in[/margin]be the maximum of marks for students
[margin]Nat. Hist.[/margin]of the first year in the present session,
and that hereafter 100 be the maximum
for the students of each of the first two
years.

[margin]Rhetoric and[/margin]. The Senatus agreed that Rhetoric
[margin]Logic in 2d year[/margin]and Logic be taught to students of the
second year, and that 100 be the maximum
of marks in the University Examination
of this class.

[margin]Additional ex-[/margin] The Senatus agreed that there shall be
[margin]aminations[/margin]an examination at the commencement of each
session on the whole of the books and subjects of
the previous part of the course, and also upon
such books as may be prescribed in each
class for study during the summer vacation
and that there shall be before the Christmas
recess in every year of the course an examination
in writing of all the students on
the books and subjects of the previous part of
the session, and that no student who does
not pass these several examinations shall
be admitted to the University examination
at the close of the session, except by special
permission of the Senatus.

Changes of dates to suit the session 1864-5,
and various other minute changes in the calendar
were suggested by the Senatus and noted
by the Registrar.
