Queen's University February 12th 1866

The Senatus met and was constituted.

Sederunt Principal Snodgrass, Professors Williamson,
Murray, Bell and Mowat and Rev.
S.H. McKerras, Interim Professor of Classics.

The minutes of last meeting were read and
approved.

A number of written excuses for absences
from prayers was disposed of.

Trustees grant request
of Senatus amount
prizes & fees for honorary
degrees

There were read Extract Minutes of the
Board of Trustees to the following effect: 1. The
Trustees agree to appropriate the amounts requested
for prizes by the Senatus. 2. The Trustees agree
to place at the disposal of the Senatus for the
benefit of the Scholarship and Library Funds
such fees as may be received for honorary degrees.

Mr. Fenwick Examiner
of Prize Essays

Messrs. Rogers and Gray having differed in
the classification of the Essays given in for the Montreal
Prize, it was agreed to request Mr. Fenwick
to act as a third examiner.
