Queen's University February 26th 1866

The Senatus met and was consitituted.
Sederunt Principal Snodgrass, Professors
Williamson, Murray, Bell and Mowat, and
Rev. S.H. McKerras Interium Professor of Classics.

The minutes of last meeting were read and
approved.

It was agreed to exempt Irwin Stuart from
attending prayers on Sabbath.

Carruthers Prize
not to be awarded

The Senatus found that the opinion of the
Examiner of the Essay on Petroleum was not
favourable enough to justify them in awarding
to it the Carruthers prize.

Judge Draper to examine
Ottawa prize essays
[/margin]

Messrs. Macdonald and Kirkpatrick having
differed in regard to the classification of
the Essays given in for the Ottawa Prize, it was
agreed to ask Judge Draper to act as Third Examiner.

Rev. D. Morrison to be
examined for B.A.
[/margin]

In compliance with an application from
Rev. D. Morrison of Brockville it was agreed
to admit him to the examination for the degree
of B.A. at the close of the session.
