The Senatus met and was constituted.

Sederunt Principal Snodgrass, Professors
Williamson, Murray, and Mowat and Rev.
S.H. McKerras Interim Professor of Classics.

The minutes of last meeting were read
and approved.

recommended for L.L.B.

In accordance with the written recommendation
of Alexander Mathieson A.M.D.D., Hugh
Urquhart, A.M.D.D. and John Barclay A.M.
D.D., the Senatus agreed unanimously and
cordially to recommend the Rev. George Remanes
A.M. to the Senate for the Degree of
Doctor of Laws.

With regard to applications from Scotland
for Honorary Degrees the Senatus resolved
to take no action at present.

Memorial from 3rd year
students at next Un. Exams
in Moral Philosophy

There was read a Memorial from Third
Year Students of Arts requesting that only that
part of Moral Philosophy which they have gone
over in the Class be taken up at the University
Examination. The Senatus referred the Memorial
to Prof. Murray to take such action upon its
