University of Toronto as an undergraduate in medicine.

In reference to an application from an
intending medical student of 1869 -70, the Senate
agreed to receive such a report as Mr.
Woods the Examiner may give in as to his
fitness for the rank of undergraduate.

In reply to a letter of enquiry from
the Medical Council of the United Kingdom
respecting the subjects of the medical
matriculation examination of this University
the Secretary was instructed to communicate
to him a full statement of the subjects
of said examination.

In reply to a letter of inquiry from
James Riddell Esq. the Secretary was instructed
to inform him that his son
will be permitted to appear at the University
examination at the close of the session
and to be examined on the subjects he had
studied during the session, and that on
passing the examination on these subjects he
will rank as having passed on them.

The rearrangement of honour work in
geology was entrusted to Prof. Dupuis.

Prize Essays

It was agreed to request the following
gentlemen to examine the Prize Essays. Mr.
Woods the Essay on the Medea of Euripides,
Mr. Allan the Essay on Spenser's Favrie
Queen, and Mr. Gray the Theological Essays.

The Senate agreed that the primary
and final examinations in medicine be
held on the undermentioned days at two
o'clock P.M. and that each written examination
be conducted by two examiners.
