Queen's University, March 4th 1870

The Senate met and was constituted.
Sederunt Principal Snodgrass, Professors
Williamson, Mowat, MacKerras, Dupuis and
Ferguson.

The minutes of the last meeting were read
and approved.

diploma for
Thibode MD
[/margin]

There was read an application from A.
Thibode, Esq. for a copy of the Diploma of
M.D. for his son Oliver Thibode, Sacramento
City, California, the one formerly given having
been lost in a fire which had recently
occurred in that city. The Senate agreed to
the application and authorized the Principal
and Registrar to issue a Diploma with certificate
that the degree was conferred April
29th 1857, and that the present diploma
is substituted for the one previously issued.

W.C. Clarke
recognized as B.A.
[/margin]

A letter was read from Rev. W. C.
Clarke of Ormstown referring to the degree of
B.A. having been conferred upon him at
the close of the session 1854-5, and requesting
his diploma accordingly. The Senate having
considered the circumstances connected with
this case resolved that Mr. Clarke's status of
B.A. of this University be fully recognized, and
that any statutory time he hereafter he may become
a candidate for the degree of M.A.
