Kennedy and Charles Henry Lavell obtained
a sufficient number of marks at the written
examination to exempt them from the oral
examination.

The Senate having found the production
of certificates by the following medical
undergraduates named in alphabetical
order viz.

James Brien, Ridgetown
John Clarke, Peterboro
John Gerin, Cobourg
Ashbel Starr Rockwell, Violet
Francis Rourk, Montreal

to be in accordance with their regulations,
and the Reports of the Examiners to be
in favour of their passing, resolved that
the said candidates have passed their final
examination in Medicine, and agreed to
confer and hereby do confer on each of
them the degree of Doctor of Medicine of
these graduates John Clarke and A.S.
Rockwell obtained a sufficient number of
marks at the written examinations to exempt
them from the oral examination.

enquiries, and having received the
necessary recommendaitons resolved to confer
and hereby do confer the degree of Doctor
of Divinity upon the Rev. Robert Neill
of Seymour, and upon the Rev. William
Bain M.A. of Perth, and the
degree of Doctor of Laws upon the Hon.
Vice Chancellor Mowat of Toronto and
the Rev. George Bell, B.A. of Clifton.
