referred to, however caused, the Senate has
resolved that while it is very desireable and
important for matriculants of the first year
in Arts to become Passmen by passing the
examination at the close of this session, their
not doing so shall not render them ineligible
as competitors for scholarships at the second
matriculation examinations, but it must be
distinctly understood that this resolution applies
only to the first year students of this
session, and that in future the regulation
will be strictly observed.

The Senate met and was constituted.

Sederunt Principal Snodgrass, Professors
Williamson, Mowat, Mackerras, Dupuis,
Ferguson, and Watson.

The minutes of the meetings held March
27th and 28th were read and approved.

On a reveiw of the written examinations
in Arts the Senate sustained the University
examination of the following undergraduates
in Arts named in the order of merit:
