Queen's University October 8th 1873

The Senate met and was constituted.

Sederunt Principal Snodgrass, Professors
Williamson, Mowat, Mackerras, Dupuis,
and Ferguson.

The minutes of yesterday's meeting were
read and approved.

4th year students exempted
from history examination
[/margin]

There was read a petition from the
students of the fourth year, giving reasons
for their failing to attend the examination
in history, and solictiting exemption
from the same. The Senate resolved to
accept their explanation, and granted
the exemption solicited.

4th year matriculants
[/margin]

The Senate found that the following
candidates named in the order of
merit had passed the matriculation examination
of the fourth year:

1. Donald Malcolm McIntyre
2. James J. Craig
3. John Inkerman MacCraken
4. William John Gibson
5. George Gillies

4th year scholarships
[/margin]

The Senate found that the scholarships
in the 4th year had been gained
as follows:

Synod (3) - James J. Craig
Russell - Donald Malcolm McIntyre
