exempted from matriculation
examination

In accordance with application from
John Herald and Archibald McMurchy
accompanied by the necessary certificates,
it was agreed to exempt them from the
matriculation examination on the ground
of ill health, and to give them the
rank of undergraduates of the fourth
year.

The Senate met and was constituted.

Watson.

The minutes of the meeting held October
15th were read and approved.

Regulations for
reading room
[/margin]

The Senate passed the following resolution
in regard to the Reading room:

Resolved that the Reading Room be placed
under the care of a Committee of students,
consisting of one belonging to each year
in Arts, and a theological student, the members
of the Committee to be elected annually
by the students; and that it shall be the
duty of the Committee so elected to arrange
the furniture and other contents of the room
