TRIES TO KILL HOTEL EMPLOYE

Negro, Rebuked, Slashes Man's Throat
and Side With Knife

Doylestown, Nov. 12.—James Weatherly.
an employe of the Monument House, was
nearly killed to-day by Roger Ragland,
a negro, who after being reprimanded,
attacked Weatherly with a knife and cut
his throat and gashed his side. Arteries
were cut and Weatherly bled profusely,
but it is believed he will recover. Rag-
land was arrested.
