A most perfect day.
After breakfast I took my
press and did some collecting
between the house and the
beach. There is a good deal
of marsh near here, said
to be the breeding place of
the green-headed fly that
at present infests the
country about here, making
it almost impossible to
move about. I could not
stay in the marsh a mo-
ment. The country is very
flat about here and be-
tween the house and the
water, a distance of
about 1/2 m. there are
few trees, but the ground
