several whales. Chased could
not strike very wild.

First and middle part light wind

Latter part fresh winds and
rugged. Plenty of whales. Killed
one and sank him. So ends.
No observation.
Sunday February 19th 1826
These 24 hours fresh winds and
rugged from the North hove[?] to.
All day 44 to 46 fathoms water

First part strong gales from the North.
Latter part squaly with rain
lightning and thunder from NW
to South. Saw several whales.
Lat in 43–06 46 fathoms water.
Tuesday February 21st 1826
First part fresh winds. Middle
part light airs. Latter part
fresh gales. Plenty of whales.
Struck 3 lost 2 lines. Upset
the captains boat.
