Resolved That the committee to receive
conveyance of Lands [&c?] be requested to ascertain
the legal [portion?] of the ^Title of the Shapard Tract and if
satisfied that the Title of said Shapard is not good
to the whole of said Tract then to [compromise?] &
purchase ^if possible what[ever?] Title he has and [take?] such
steps as may be requisite to obtain title from
the parties [in?] whom the Title legally is - but
if they are satisfied said Shapard holds the
legal Title that then they be authorized to
purchase said Shapard Tract from him at a price
not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars

Engineer of the University be instructed
to build four additional rooms for
the use of the Executive Committee, &
to procure furniture sufficient for
