My Dear Sir,

Your kind invitation was rec'd
to-day, for which I thank you, & which I
accept with pleasure.

Bp. Atkinson will be at the meeting, if
nothing serious hinders.

If you see the "Church Intelligencer",
you will notice that Bp. Gregg's appoint=
ments at home cover the period of our
meeting. Indeed, he informed me, some
time since, that a journey to Sewanee was
"too formidable" in the present lack of
Rail Roads in the Southwest. I am very
sorry he will not be with us.
