29: Fresh breeze West with frequent rain & hail squalls these 24 hours. Sea very rough. General duties for the day. Barometer 30.10 today.

30: Gale to fresh breeze N.West with frequent rain and hail squalls during 24 hours.Sea very rough. 1st asst cleaning his Quarters and went to Newport after supplies and mail. Keeper working on the Quarterly and monthly returns. Barometer 30.36

31: Light North to East wind these 24 hours with clear, fine and cool weather. Sea quite rough. General duties for the day. Had two visitors. Keeper and 2nd asst went to Newport after supplies. And to mail reports to Inspector & Engineer. 1st asst cleaning Oil can & measures. Barometer 30.17 today.

April

1: Light S. East wind to moderate breeze South thees 24 hours. First part of 24 hours fair weather. Last part of 24 hours light rain showers. Sea very smooth. General duties for the day. Keeper & 1st asst went fishing. 2nd asst cleaning his Quarters Barometer 30.15 today.

2: Light S.East wind to moderate and fresh breeze N.W. these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours light rain showers. Last part of 24 hours fair weather. Sea quite rough. Steamer Farallon arrived and crossed into Yaquina at 5.30 A.M. Keepers changing Lenns, Lamp cleaning and polishing all brass work at the station. 1st asst left the station at 3 P.M. for Newport on his way to Portland on important business.

3: Moderate breeze N.W. to light North wind first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light wind to moderate and fresh breeze W. to N.West with clear, fine and cool weather during 24 hours. Sea moderately smooth. Keeper & 2nd asst scrubbing hall [in] Oil room & Office floors. Barometer 29.70

13: Fresh breeze South to S.W. and West these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours rain showers. Last part of 24 hours damp but mostly fair weather. Sea moderately smooth. Keeper making out requisition for supplies to Inspector. 1st asst went to Newport after mail & supplies. Barometer down to 29.60
