22: [continued from preceding page] Sea smooth. 1st and 2nd assts showing visitors in the Tower. 2nd asst putting wood in his celler. Keeper cleaning in his Quarters and cleaning windows outside. Had seventeen visitors. 1st asst went fishing. Barometer 29.94 today.

23: Light South wind and calm, smokey and fair weather first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light N.West wind, smokey and some fog. Sea smooth. General duties for day. Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport after supplies. 1st asst showing 21 visitors in Tower. Barometer 29.98.

24: Light North wind these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours thick fog and smoke. Last part of 24 hours smokey. Sea smooth. Keepers scrubbing Oil room hallway and Office floor. Also cleaning Tower windows. 2nd asst cleaning Oil carriers and cleaning Dwelling house windows. 1st asst went to Newport. Keeper & 2nd ast showing visitors in Tower. Had [blank] visitors today. Barometer down to 29.85.

25: Light North wind these 24 hours with high dry fog and smoke. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. Had twenty-four visitors. 1st and 2nd assts showing visitors in the Tower. Keeper went to Newport after supplies. Barometer down to 29.80 today. Mr Freeman arrived at the station at 3 P.M. to see what repairs were needed at this station for the year 1896.

26: Light North to South wind first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light variable winds with high dry fog and a little smoke these 24 hours. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. Keepers showing visitors in the Tower. Had eleven visitors. Barometer 29.90 today. Liet Commander Jno B. Merrill, Inspector 13th Light House District arrived at 2 P.M. and left for Newport at 4 P.M. U.S. Light Tender Manzanita arrived and crossed into Newport at 9 P.M. yesterday and landed annual supplies.

27: Light variable winds and calm these 24 hours with high dry fog and warm weather. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. 1st and 2nd assts showing visitors in Tower and putting Oil in Oil-house. Mr Stimpson hauling annual supplies. Keeper went to Newport to ship a burner to L.H. Engineer to be repaired. Had fourteen visitors. Barometer 29.90. L.H. Tender Manzanita left Yaquina at 1 P.M. for the South.

28: Light wind to moderate breeze North with clear fine weather these 24 hours. Sea smooth. Keepers putting the Oil and other annual supplies away. Mr Stimpson hauling the annual supplies. Keeper painting the base board around Wood shed lead collor. Also putting a pane of glass in window over transom in Keeper's Quarters. 1st and 2nd assts showing visitors in the Tower. Had 31 visitors. Barometer 29.94.

29: Light North to South wind first part of 24 hours Last part of 24 hours light variable winds and calm, clear, fine and warm weather these 24 hours. Sea smooth. Mr Stimpson hauling supplies. Keepers putting Oil in Oil-house. 1st and 2nd asst showing visitors in the Tower. Had fourty-seven [sic] visitors. Barometer 30.02 today. Keeper takeing account of annual supplies delivered.

30: Light S.East wind & calm first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light variable winds, fair and warm weather these 24 hours. Sea smooth. Keepers putting Oil in Oil-house. Mr Stimpson hauling annual supplies. Keepers showing visitors in Tower. Barometer 30.00. Had 47 visitors today.

31: Light South wind these 24 hours with cloudy and fair and warm weather. Sea smooth. Keeper stowing away annual supplies. Mr Stimpson completed hauling annual supplies. Keepers showing 75 visitors in Tower. Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport. Barometer 29.90.

1: Moderate breeze South these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours rain & fog. Last part of 24 hours cloudy and fair weather. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. 2nd asst showing 6 visitors in the Tower. Barometer 29.85 to 29.95. Str Farallon sailed for San Francisco at 5 P.M.

2: Moderate breeze South with rain showers first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light variable winds and calm, fair and warm weather. Sea smooth. General duties for day. Keeper & 2nd asst went to Newport. 1st asst showing 10 visitors in the Tower. Barometer 29.96.
