21: Light variable winds first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours moderate to fresh breeze N. West with thick damp fog during these 24 hours. Sea smooth. 2nd asst cleaning out his celler. 1st asst showing one visitor in Tower. Barometer down to 29.85 today.

22: Moderate breeze to light N.W. wind first part of 24 hours. Last part of 24 hours light variable winds, thick damp fog during 24 hours. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. Assts showing 11 visitors in the Tower. Keeper went to Newport. Barometer down to 29.80 today. 1st asst takeing off cover of Coal??? Oil cases.

23: Light South wind, thick damp fog these 24 hours. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. 1st asst went fishing. Barometer 30.00 today.

24: Light variable winds these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours clear fine weather. Last part of 24 hours cloudy and light rain shower. Sea smooth. Keepers cleaning and calling out 2 100 Gallon Oil Butts to empt[y] Mineral Oil In. Barometer 30.10 today.

25: Light wind to moderate and fresh breeze North these 24 hours with clear fine weather during 24 hours. Sea smooth. Keepers putting 200 Gallons of Mineral Oil in Office. 1st asst went fishing. Keeper working on Quarterly returns. Barometer 30.10 today.

26: Light N.East and East wind these 24 hours with clear, fine and warm weather. Sea smooth. Keeper went to Newport after mail, hay, & other supplies. 1st and 2nd asst painting the rusty spots under the landings in Tower. 1st asst went fishing. Barometer down to 29.95 today.

27: Fresh breeze East to light North wind these 24 hours with fair and warm weather.Sea smooth. General duties for the day. Keeper working on Quarterly returns. 2nd asst showing two visitors in the Tower today. Barometer 29.90 to 29.83.

28: Light South to N.West wind these 24 hours with thick damp fog. Sea smooth. General duties for the day. 2nd asst splitting wood in his celler. Keeper sweeping out his part of Dwelling. 1st asst cleaning his Quarter and went to Newport after mail. Barometer 29.95.

29: Moderate breeze to light N.West wind these 24 hours with thick damp fog during 24 hours. Sea moderately smooth. Barometer down to 29.80. Keepers changeing and cleaning Lennes Lamp and polishing all brass work. Keeper working on Monthly & Quarterly reports.

30: Light wind to moderate and fresh breeze S.E. to S these 24 hours. First part of 24 hours thick damp fog. Last part of 24 hours rain. Sea moderately smooth to quite rough. General duties for the day. Keeper completed Monthly and Quarterly returns to Engineer & Inspector & mailed them today at Newport. Barometer 29.80 to 29.91.
