To all persons Greeting In our Lord god Everlasting

Whereas it sufficiently Appeares to us that Patrick Jackson of this County Deceased Died Intestate
and Leaving noe will And George Deane of the sd County Proveing himselfe the neerest of Kin
to the Said Patrick Jackson Deceased, before the Justices of the Lords Proprietors peace; At Shaftsbury
Precinct Court held the 5th day of Feb Last past, Desireing order For Administration of all and
Every the sd Deceaseds Estate which was Accordingly Granted, wee doe therefore In observance to
to the Aforesd order of Court , hereby Authorize and Impower the sd George Deane to Admini
=ster on all and Every the Estate both reall and personall of the sd Patrick Jackson Deceased &
out of the Same to Sattisfie and pay all his Just debts So far forth as the sd Estate will Extend or
amount unto, and A true and Just Inventory of all and Every the sd Estate which shall Come to his
hands Possession or knowledge Appraised According to Law to Returne In to the Secratarys
office, and their of to bee Accomptable At any time when Legally Required hee haveing
given In Security by Jno Thomas Rich Stybald And himselfe For his So doing Given under our
hands And the Seale of the Collony this 27 Day of March Anno Dominis 1680

Know all men by these Presents that wee George Deane & Jno Thomas & Richard Stybald both
of the County of Albemarle In the Province of Carrolina Planters do binde our selves and
Either of us Joyntly and severally, our heirs Exceccutors and Administrators to pay or Cause to
bee well and truly paid unto his Excellency the the pallatine and the Rest of the true and Ab=
solute Lords proprietors of the Aforesd Province of Carrolina or to their heirs and successors ye
full and Just sum of twenty thousand pounds of good sound Merchantable Tobacco, and Cask to
Contane the same, Payable upon forfeiture of the Condition hereunto Annexed In witnes
Whereof wee have hereunto set our hands and seales this 29th Day of march 1680

The Condition of this obligation is such that whereas the Above bounden George Deane
haveing Received Letters of Administration upon the Estate of Patrick Jackson deceased doe
and shall well and truly Performe what their in hee is Enjoyned According to the tenor of
the sd Commission and Shall Save and keep the Court harmless and undempnified from all
and Every person or persons that may or shall Lay Claime to, or pretend Interest in the sd
Estate, of the sd Patrick Jackson [crossed out] Deceased Duely Excecuteing and truly
Performing the office of An Administrator to all Intents and Purposes, as theirin to him
to him the sd George Deane is Granted that then this present obligation to be voyde and of
noe Effect or Elses to Stand and bee In full force Power Effort and Vertue
