By the Governor and Lords deputies with the Rest of the honourable
Councell of State to all persons Greeting In our Lord god Everlasting
Whereas it Sufficiently Appeares unto us that thomas Harloe of this County deceased, left a will,
and Robart Inkerson of the sd County beeing married to the Rellict of the sd Testator appeared be
=fore us at A Grand Councell held the 27th day of March 1680 and made probatt of the sd
Will, desireing order for Administration on all and Every the sd Deceaseds Estate which
was accordingly granted, wee doe therefore In observance of the Aforesd order hereby im-
=power you the sd Robart Inkerson to Administer on all and Every the Estate Both Reall &
Personall of the sd Thomas Harloe deceased, and out of the same to Sattisfie and pay all
his Just debts soe farr Forth as the sd Estate will Extend or Amount unto, and a True and
Just Inventory of all and Every ^(of) the sd Estate which may or Shall Come to his hands possession
or knowledge appraised According to Law by Caleb Callaway Esqr and John Barrow and
the sd Appraisment to Returne Into the Secrataries office, at or before the next General
Court or Grand Councell held for this County and thereof to bee accomptable at any
time when Legally thereto Required hee Giving in Security by [space]
and himselfe for his Soe doeing Given under our hands and the Seale of the County this
29th day of March 1680

Know all men by these presents that wee Robart Inkerson [space] of
the County of Albemarle In the province of Carolina doe owe and Stand Justly Indebted unt
unto his Excellency the pallatine and the Rest of the true and Absolute Lords proprietors of this
province of Carolina In the full and Just Sum and Quantetie of thirty thousand pounds of
Curant Merchantable tobacco, and Cask to Containe the Same , payable [crossed out] In this County [crossed out]
upon forfeiture of the Condition hereunto Annexed to the which payment well and truly
to bee made and done, wee binde us, and Every of us, Joyntly and Severally, our and Every
of our, heirs exceccutors and Administrators, for the whole, and In the whole , firmly by these presents
in witness whereof wee have here unto Sett our hands, and Seales this 29th day of march 1680

The Condition of this obligation is Such that whereas the Above bounden Robart Inkerson have
ing Received Letters of Administration upon the Estate of Thomas harloe of this County deceased
doe and Shall well and truely performe wt therein hee is Injoyned, according to the tenour of
the Law Commissions and Shall Save and Keep the Court Harmles and undempnified from all
and Every person and persons that may or Shall Lay Clame too, or pretend Interest In the sd
Estate of the Said Thomas Harloe deceased, duely Executeing and truly performing the of-
=fice of Administrator to all Intents and purposes [begin crossed out] Requisite In the Law [end crossed out] as therein to him
the sd Robart Inkerson Is granted, that then this present obligation to bee voide and of
noe Effort or Else to Stand and bee In full force power Effect and Vertue
