Whereas Edward Wells of this County is deced [deceased] & having
noe will & Ann: Wells his Relict haveing bine before
us & Craved Letters of Administratione on ye said Estate
These are therefore to Impower ye said Ann Wells
for to take upone her the Administratione over ye said
Estate & to take into her Costodey & possesione all &
Every part & parcelle of ye Said Estate where so
Ever to be found in this County & ye same to cause
to be Inventoreised & apprassiad, & returne in the
Same into ye Office & Generally for to act & doe
in ye said office as ye Law requires Given under
our Hands & Seales of ye County this 7th day
of November 1691

Whereas the Lords and absolute Propr [Proprietors] of Carolina have
granted by A Deed under their hands and Great Seale of
the Province bareing Date ye first day of May 1668
that ye Inhabitants of Albemarle should hold their Lands
of them on ye Pearmits & Conditions yt [that] Lands were then
held in Virginia: This is to give Notice that all persons who
proves their rights may hand Warrts [Warrents]out of the Secretaries
office to the Surveyor and Pattents granted inpersuance of ye
said deeds to be taken out at ye next meeting of the Assembly
and So from Time to Time as they shall have ye lands Sur
veyed: Given under my hand & Seale the 28th day of November
1693
