Fine day - chilly in house.
Fit for nothing - limbs strictured.
Lay down most of the time. Wrote a few letters & finished "Lord Jim". Mrs Bennetts in at six pm to telephone - otherwise alone all day.
Telephone rang twice but I did not lift the receiver.
