Nice warm day again. I got up before 7. Housecleaned & went to butcher etc. Dal and Fitz came about 9.15 & Fitz mowed the front lawns which were very long. Dal looked very sick.I gave them morning tea & coffee at 10.30 & they left by noon.
After lunch Ben Hanemann [Haneman?] came & chatted for an hour & gave me a recipe for more pills. I get them free so may try them.
He is as disgusted with alcoholism & addiction to tobacco as I am.
Rang Lena at 7.45 p.m. & am going to see her tomorrow.

I think the person visiting Miles could be Benedetto (Ben) Haneman, a physician and book collector. (The surname could be misspelt in this diary entry)
