Grey & chilly but not quite so freezing as yesterday. On essay typing but my shoulder is giving me the old pain - if only I had some one to ease it by rubbing or a hot poultice. Mrs Bennetts sent me some veg. soup which is nauseous to me but it saved cooking for evening meal. Had fire again in kitchen after 4.30. Got to bed before 10.
